10 Easy ways to make natural room fragrance

We all know that clean and clear room is essential for our healthy life and in the same way the sweet smell of our house is important for our healthy mind.

Natural Room fragrance plays an important role in our healthy mind. It helps to calm our nerves, alleviate our stress, takes away our fatigue. It also improves our mood and concentration. So that we could feel more comfortable in a variety of situations that starting from our home.

10 natural room fragrance made by simple ways

There are lots of fragrances that you can use for your room. But here I will describe you which natural room fragrances are available and easy to make.

1.Essential oil room spraynatural room freshener

  • A spray bottle,
  • 2 cup of water,
  • 5/6 drops of your favorite essential oil.

Most often I love to use cinnamon or lavender. First, pour the water into a spray bottle, then add few drops of essential oil and close the top of the spray bottle. Before you spray, you have to give it a good shake to mix it up. After that, you can spray it in the air on fabric items such as a comforter or your couch or pillows.

2.Orange, Rosemary, Citronella candlenatural room freshener

  • A mason jar,
  • Fresh rosemary springs,
  • 1-2 orange wedges,
  • Water,
  • 7-10 drops lemon eucalyptus oil,
  • Citronella floating tea candle.

At first, fill the Mason jar with rosemary and orange wedges. Add lemon eucalyptus oil and water. Pour it with enough water for a fill-up. Then put the candle on the water. Then put fire on the candle for natural room fragrance.

3. DIY air freshenernatural room fragrance

  • A Jar
  • Fresh lemons,
  • A tablespoon vanilla,
  • rosemary springs,
  • water.

Slice a lemon into 6 pieces. Then fill the jar with lemon, rosemary springs a tablespoon vanilla and water and seal it. Then put it on the stove in a saucepan and set over low heat. The fragrance will diffuse. You can keep adding water throughout the day and it can last up to a week in the saucepan.

4. Scented woodblocknatural room fragrance

  • Woodblock
  • Scented oil/perfume
  • Small paint brushes,
  • Container.

At first, you have to cover the wood blocks in the scented oil/perfume by painting or spraying it on. After covering them you can put them in a closed container that covered with extra scented oil. Then shake them well and make sure that they are coated perfectly. And then put them in the oil overnight for absorbed the oil perfectly. Then you can decorate them in an open container in any place of the house. You can use them more and more by adding scented oil to them.

5. Gel air freshenernatural room fragrance

  • Water,
  • Unflavored gelatin,
  • 1 tablespoon salt,
  • Essential oil,
  • Heat-safe container,
  • Food color.

Put 3/4 cups of water with salt in a saucepan on the stove. When the salt completely dissolved add the gelatin and stir it well until mixed quickly. Then pour the mixture into the heat-safe container. Then add your favorite color and essential oil on it. Then let them cool to room temperature. You have to use a lid with hole for fragrance. It is one of my favorite natural room fragrance.

6. Orange peel candlenatural room fragrance

  • Orange
  • Knife
  • Any type of oil- Vegetable, Olive, Canola etc.

Remove the middle portion of the orange carefully to leave the middle stem-like portion intact with a sharp knife. Fill the cavity with vegetable or olive or any type of oil. Put the oil to just below the center stem like a wick. Light the center stem. It will burn for most of the day.

7. DIY reed diffusersnatural room fragrance

  • A vase,
  • Baby oil,
  • Essential oil,
  • Bamboo skewers/ rattan diffusing sticks,
  • Ribbon,
  • Washi tape.

This is a simple solution to scenting your home without using flame or heat. Fill the vase with essential oil and baby oil. Place the washi tape at the end of the skewers or sticks and fold over for decoration. Put the skewers in the vase and tie them with ribbon. The perfumed oil will diffuse into the room through the skewers.

8. Cinnamon sticks candlenatural room fragrance

  • Candle (3 inches in diameter),
  • Cinnamon,
  • Floral shears,
  • Hot glue gun,
  • Dish.

Cut the cinnamon sticks to the size of the candle with floral shears. Run the hot glue gun with the cinnamon sticks and cover it vertically to the side of the candle. When the first stick is dry, glue the next cinnamon carefully. Repeat the same process to cover the candle. After covering the candle put it in a dish. And it is ready for your natural room fragrance.

9. Pouch air freshenernatural room fragrance

  • Lightweight fabric,
  • Thick thread,
  • Cotton balls,
  • Scented oil/ spices/ Incense cone,
  • Scissors,
  • Needle,
  • Thread.

Make a small pouch using a lightweight fabric. For this, you need scissors, needle, thick thread, thread. After making the pouch fill it with spices, incense cones, and scented oil soaked cotton balls. Now you can put the pouch anywhere in the room.

10. Baking soda air freshenernatural room fragrance

  • Baking soda,
  • Essential oil,
  • A jar with vented lid.

Fill the jar with baking soda. Then add your favorite essential oil to it. After that close the jar with vented lid. Gently shake up the baking soda and essential oil mixture. Then put it in your preferable place at night. Replace the baking soda once it starts to harden.


There are so many essential oils . here I describe some of my favorite , easy and mostly used scent combinations.
